Mathew Schofield - Joiner & Carpenter
About me, I have been established in my own business since 2019. I started my apprenticeship in 2012 at Hugh Baird Collage Bootle at the age of 16 and employed by my Dad Joiner & Builder. I achieved my City & Guilds NVQ2 and NVQ3 at this college. I then progressed to Wigan and Leigh College, this is where I achieved a Distinction HNC in sustainable building and structures in the built environment. Once my apprenticeship was complete I continued to work for my dad until 2019 when we set myself up with my own business. We continued to work together and continue to do so. Less so now as my dad slows down to enjoy more leisure activities.
I have good backing with my dad as he has incredibly rich knowledge of all aspects of the building trade - with over 50 years of experience and wisdom to learn from. In other words if you present me with a problem I can’t with certainty solve, I know that my dad will.
I do constantly have several projects running with clients, so usually there is a waiting list for work or joinery products. If you are prepared to wait I can promise my full attention and best quality.
